What Is Resurfacing?
|
| |
Resurfacing is a multi-stage process that has successfully been implemented for over 20 years. It involves repairing dents, chips, burns, and cracks. Then specific chemical cleaning stages, a chemical prime/etching stage, and finally applying the best quality, most environmentally and user-friendly EP-Acrylic II resurface material on the market. It is the only resurfacing material that contains absolutely no isocyantes. Why is that important? Because the “Health effects of isocyanate exposure include irritation of skin and mucous membranes, chest tightness, and difficult breathing. Isocyanates include compounds classified as potential human carcinogens and known to cause cancer in animals. The main effects of hazardous exposures are occupational asthma and other lung problems, as well as irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and skin”—US Department of Labor. Though there will be some residual odor after the resurfacing process, it will noticeably dissipate after a couple of hours. So for the protection of the resurfacing technician, residents, pets, neighbors, and the environment—this product is quite simply the safest and highest quality product available while maintaining ultimate durability. It was specifically formulated to literally “resurface” Formica, porcelain, ceramic tile and fiberglass whether countertops, sinks, tubs and surrounds, and even tile floors and walls—all with the resilience to rival that of brand new.

What Are The Benefits
|
| |
Cost: On average the cost to resurface a countertop, sink, tub and surround, or tile walls and floors can save upwards of 70% versus the cost to replace. Think about it; you don’t need to buy “a new” anything. And no carpenters or plumbers required. This product carries a five year limited warranty as long as it’s maintained like any other new countertop or tub surface.
Time: The total turnaround time to resurface the average kitchen countertop is approximately two hours, a kitchen or bath sink about two hours, and a tub and surround about three to four hours. Once resurfacing is complete the initial application is dry to the touch within mere minutes, however, for warranty purposes it is best to allow 24 hours to cure before normal use.
Convenience:
There just isn’t a simpler, more cost effective way to upgrade an outdated, worn or damaged countertop or tub and tile surface than resurfacing rather than replacing. Color options can be restoring back to original or getting creative with custom color tinting. This affordable, reasonable solution is perfect for multi-family communities, professional or DIY, remodelers, realtors and owner/operator management groups, or a homeowner on a budget looking to make a very noticeable change.
